Schedule Facebook Page posts through Composio: text, links, single photos, multi-photo posts, and video. Each post is approved as an exact version, sent to the Page you selected and verified, and receipted from the permalink Facebook returns. Personal profiles and groups are not supported.

What the Facebook lane does today.
Text and link posts
Text posts and link posts with a separate link field. The Page post limit is 63,206 characters.
Photo and multi-photo posts
One photo, or up to 10 photos combined into a single feed post. The photos are uploaded unpublished first, then attached to one post.
Video with honest status
MP4 video is supported. Upload acceptance is not treated as publication; the post stays pending until processing is verified.
Pages only, chosen explicitly
You select the Page during connection, and that Page is the destination identity. Posting needs the pages_manage_posts permission and the CREATE_CONTENT or MANAGE task on the Page.
Alt text handled openly
This lane cannot send alt text. If a post includes it, validation stops the post until an approver records that dropping alt text is acceptable.
Graph API rate limits respected
Graph API throttling errors and HTTP 429 are read as rate-limit signals, and the worker backs off rather than retrying in a loop.
Post metrics from insights
Media views and unique media views are read from Facebook post insights for verified publications. Anything Facebook does not return is unknown, not zero.

Limits come from the lane's capability record and are checked before anything is sent. Posts that do not fit are stopped with the reason.

Supported. Up to 63,206 characters.
Link
Supported, either inside the text or as a separate link on a text-only post. Media posts carry links only inside the text.
Single photo
Supported.
Multiple photos
Supported. Up to 10 photos in one feed post, order preserved.
Video
Supported. One MP4 video per post; status stays pending until Facebook finishes processing. Mixing photos and video in one post is not supported.
Alt text
Not sent. Requires an approver to accept the drop before the post can go out.
Personal profiles and groups
Not supported. Only Facebook Pages are destinations.
Inbox
Not part of this scheduler. Facebook inbox reading and manual replies are behind a feature flag, and automated replies are off.
Scheduling, approval, receipt
How a Facebook post goes from draft to receipt.
Every scheduled post moves through the same publication ledger. Each step is a stored record, so the calendar shows what actually happened rather than what was planned.
Content version
The copy, media order, and destination options are frozen into a numbered content version. Editing the post creates a new version, and approvals for the old one no longer count.
Destination approval
An approver signs off on that exact version for this Facebook destination, optionally inside a time window. Scheduling outside the window needs reapproval.
Delivery intent
Scheduling creates a delivery intent. It is refused if there is no current approval, the destination's identity is not verified, or the destination is held.
Publish attempt
A worker claims the intent, validates the payload against the lane's capability record, prepares media in the documented order, and records each attempt and its events.
Verified receipt
A text or photo post is marked published when Facebook returns the post ID; a response without one is treated as uncertain. The permalink comes from Facebook, read back by post ID. A video stays pending until a status lookup confirms it.
Uncertain writes are reconciled
If a request times out after dispatch, the attempt is marked uncertain and reconciled by looking the post up. It is never blindly retried, and a manual retry is refused while any attempt is unresolved.
Pause per destination
Publishing can be paused for one destination, a campaign, a tenant, or everything. Resuming requires an admin and a recorded reason.
Connection and account verification
Connect Facebook and confirm it is the right account.
Connections go through Composio managed OAuth. An authenticated connection is only the first step; SignalDeck reads the account back from the provider before anything is scheduled.
Owner or admin connects
Only roles with connection management can start a connection. The flow is signed and expires, so a stale link cannot attach an account later.
Identity readback
SignalDeck lists the Pages the connected login manages and records the Page you select, along with the tasks you hold on it, as the destination identity.
Explicit confirmation
An owner or admin reviews the identity the provider returned and confirms it. Until then the destination is not verified and nothing can be scheduled to it.
Wrong-account holds
If a reconnect returns a different account, confirming it requires an owner or admin, and every scheduled post for that destination is held for re-review instead of going to the new account.
One tenant per account
A connected account already registered to another tenant is rejected, so one provider account cannot quietly feed two organizations.

Frequently asked
Can I post to a personal Facebook profile or a group?
No. The lane supports Facebook Pages only, and the Page is selected explicitly during connection.
How many photos can one post have?
Up to 10 photos in a single feed post.
Why does my video show as pending?
Facebook accepting an upload is not the same as publishing it. The post stays pending until processing is verified, and only then gets a receipt.
Is alt text sent to Facebook?
No. The lane cannot carry alt text, so a post with alt text needs an approver to accept that it will be dropped.
What permissions does the Page connection need?
The pages_manage_posts permission and the CREATE_CONTENT or MANAGE task on the Page.
Does SignalDeck reply to comments automatically?
No. Automated and AI-drafted replies are disabled. Inbox reading and manual replies sit behind a feature flag.
