Franchises

A franchise system needs national brand control and local posting at the same time: the franchisor sets the rules, each location posts for its own community, and nobody wants a single location's mistake to become a brand problem. SignalDeck models the system as one organization with a workspace per location or region, scopes each location's people and destinations to that workspace, enforces brand policy at review, and lets the franchisor pause one location's destination without stopping the rest.

Built for franchise systems

National standards, local calendars, and a pause for every destination.

  • Per-location workspaces and destinations

Each location or region gets a workspace with its own connected destinations, calendar, media, and members. Destinations belong to exactly one workspace, and a post can only be approved for destinations in its own workspace.

  • Roles scoped to the location

Franchisee staff can be creators, publishers, reviewers, or client approvers assigned only to their workspace. Reviewers can be narrowed further to individual destinations.

  • Brand policy enforced at review

Each workspace carries a versioned brand profile with voice examples, prohibited claims, and required disclosures. Frozen versions that break it are blocked from approval, and a policy change marks unpublished versions for re-evaluation.

  • Pause one destination

Pause a single location's destination, one campaign, or the whole organization. A pause that lands before dispatch prevents the provider call. Resuming needs an owner or admin and a recorded reason.

  • Verified connections per location

Each location's Facebook Page or Instagram account is confirmed against its identity before it can be scheduled. If a connection expires or is disconnected, that location's deliveries are held and the rest keep running.

  • Exports and audit logs

Approvals, revocations, pauses, resumes, and role changes are written to the audit log. Org admins can request tenant-scoped data exports, and audit exports start on the Command plan.

  • Per-location reports

Report on each location from verified receipts, with freshness labels and unknown metrics left unknown, so a disconnected page doesn't look like zero engagement.

A national campaign

How a system-wide promotion rolls out.

  • The franchisor drafts

The brand team drafts the campaign in each location's workspace, with a payload per destination and the campaign's start and end dates.

  • Locations localize

Location staff adjust the copy for their area. Every edit creates a new version, so the brand team's approval never carries over to text it didn't see.

  • Approval with a window

A franchisor reviewer approves each location's destination with a window that matches the promotion dates. Anything outside it is rejected or held.

  • Track outcomes by location

See which locations published, which are still processing, and which are held. Successful destinations are never re-run, and retries are offered only after a definite failure.

Governance

Who can do what in a franchise system.

  • Franchisor owners and admins

Manage members, brand profiles, rights and consent records, and resumes after a pause. Only owners and admins can resume publishing.

  • Franchisee publishers and creators

Draft and schedule approved posts in their own workspace. They can't approve content they wrote.

  • Operators

Can pause publishing and reconcile uncertain attempts without editing content, which suits a support desk that watches every location.

Structure

Plan limits for multi-location systems.

Scale includes 60 workspaces and 120 social profiles; Command removes the workspace limit and includes 250 social profiles; Enterprise sets custom limits. Brand profiles are set per workspace and aren't inherited from a parent, so the franchisor keeps the same policy in each location's profile.

Not available

What SignalDeck doesn't cover for franchises.

Google Business Profile posting and review management are not available. There is no POS, CRM, or location-data integration, and no co-op ad funding or paid media management. TikTok publishing is gated and not yet enabled.

Franchise shapes

From regional groups to national systems.

  • Franchisor-run social

The brand team posts for every location, with a reviewer per region and one pause per destination.

  • Franchisee-run social

Locations draft and schedule; the franchisor approves against the brand profile.

  • Regional co-ops

A workspace per region with shared destinations and a regional approver.

  • Multi-unit operators

One operator across several locations, added to each of their workspaces and nothing else.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Can the franchisor stop one location's posts without stopping everyone?

Yes. Pause that location's destination. Other destinations keep running, and the pause holds that destination's deliveries until an owner or admin resumes with a reason.

Can a franchisee see other locations?

No. Workspace-assigned roles only see the workspaces they're added to, and a post can only be approved for destinations in its own workspace.

Does the brand profile apply to every location automatically?

No. Brand profiles are versioned per workspace and aren't inherited. Set the same policy in each location's workspace; changing it marks unpublished versions there for re-evaluation.

Can locations post to Google Business Profile?

No. Google Business Profile publishing is not available.

What happens when a location's page disconnects?

That destination is held and its scheduled deliveries wait. Reconnect and confirm the account's identity. If it comes back as a different account, only an owner or admin can confirm the change and its deliveries stay held for re-verification, so nothing goes to the wrong page.

Which plan fits a franchise system?

Command is built for larger multi-location teams, with no workspace limit and audit exports. Scale works for smaller systems with up to 60 workspaces.

Which networks can locations publish to?

Publishing runs on Instagram Business and Creator accounts (images and carousels), Facebook Pages (text, links, images, multi-image, and video), YouTube (video and Shorts), and LinkedIn member profiles (text and video). X uses a direct route that stays off until a separate terms review is complete. LinkedIn company Pages, TikTok, and Pinterest are gated and not yet enabled. Threads publishes text, one image, or one video through the official Threads API. Bluesky and Google Business Profile publishing are not available.
