Solution
Media and newsrooms
Newsroom social is high volume and unforgiving: a stale story posted hours late, a duplicate post after a timeout, or a correction that goes out without an editor's sign-off all damage trust. SignalDeck approves each story per destination with an approval window, holds posts that miss their slot instead of posting them stale, never re-sends an attempt that might already have published, and records corrections to the publication record through reconciliation with evidence.
Built for newsrooms
High-volume posting with a record editors can defend.
Approval windows per story
An editor approves each destination with a window. Scheduling outside it is rejected, and a delivery that would run after it closes is held as stale rather than posted.
Missed-slot hold policy
By default, a post that misses its slot beyond a short on-time grace is held for review. A desk can choose a catch-up window per destination; anything later than that is still held.
No blind duplicates
If a network times out after a post is sent, the attempt is marked uncertain and reconciled against the network instead of being re-sent. Retries are allowed only once every prior attempt is proven not to have published.
Reconciliation with evidence
Operators resolve uncertain attempts by recording what the network shows, with evidence. A published result must match the destination's account, and the decision is appended to the attempt's history.
Cadence and spacing per destination
Set cadence caps, minimum spacing, quiet periods, and blackout dates per destination. Final preflight checks them again and holds anything that would break them.
Feeds into drafts
Add a section's RSS feed as a source. New items become drafts that require approval by default, and their snapshots back the claims in posts written from them. Sources start on Scale.
Duplicate and claim checks
Frozen versions are checked for near-duplicates of recent posts and for factual claims that aren't linked to a source. Either one blocks approval until it's resolved.
Failures visible per destination
When one destination fails and another succeeds, both states show. Each failure has a next action, and reconcile is offered instead of a blind repost.
A news day
How a desk moves a story to social.
Story lands
The article appears in the section's RSS feed and becomes a draft in that desk's workspace, linked to the feed item as its source.
Social editor writes variants
Write a Facebook Page link post, a YouTube video, and a LinkedIn post for the reporter's profile. Each destination keeps its own payload.
Editor approves with a window
A desk editor approves each destination with a window that ends when the story stops being timely. The social editor can't approve their own post.
Slots, caps, and holds
Deliveries go out in the desk's slots within cadence and spacing rules. Anything that misses its slot or its window waits for an editor instead of posting stale.
Breaking changes
If the story changes, pause the destination or campaign. A pause that lands before dispatch prevents the provider call.
Corrections
Corrections without guesswork.
A correction is a new version
Write the correction as a new version and approve it like any other post. The original approval can never publish the corrected text, and the corrected text can't publish on the old approval.
Live posts are changed on the network
SignalDeck doesn't edit or delete posts already live on a network. Remove or edit them there; later metrics lookups record the post as removed, and the original publication stays in the record.
Fix the record through reconciliation
When the record is wrong because an outcome was uncertain, an operator reconciles it with evidence. The decision is appended, not overwritten, so the history shows what was believed and when it changed.
Structure
Desks, titles, and shows.
Use one organization for the publisher and a workspace per title, desk, or show. Reviewers can be scoped to individual destinations, operators can pause and reconcile without editing content, and only owners and admins can resume publishing after a pause.
Channel limits
Where newsroom posts can go today.
Facebook Pages, YouTube, Instagram Business accounts, and LinkedIn member profiles are available. X runs through a direct route that stays off until a separate terms review is complete. Threads publishes text, image, and video posts; Bluesky publishing is not available, and there is no CMS integration; RSS feeds are the supported way to bring articles in.
Newsroom shapes
From a single title to a multi-brand publisher.
Daily news desks
Feed-driven drafts, editor approval with windows, and stale posts held instead of sent.
Multi-title publishers
A workspace per title with its own destinations, cadence rules, and editors.
Video and shows
YouTube uploads with explicit privacy, verified once processing finishes.
Reporter profiles
Reporters connect their own LinkedIn member profiles; desk editors approve their posts.
FAQ
Frequently asked
What happens to a post that misses its slot?
By default it's held for review once it's past a short on-time grace. A destination can allow a catch-up window; anything later than that, or past the approval window, is still held as stale.
Can a timeout cause a duplicate post?
SignalDeck is built to prevent that. An attempt that may have published is marked uncertain and reconciled against the network; a retry is only allowed after every prior attempt is proven not to have published.
How do corrections work?
Publish the correction as a new, separately approved version. SignalDeck doesn't edit or delete live posts on the network, and uncertain outcomes in the record are corrected through reconciliation with evidence.
Can we bring articles in from our CMS?
Through RSS. There is no direct CMS integration. Feed items become drafts that require approval by default; sources start on the Scale plan.
Can we stop all posting during a breaking story?
Yes. Pause the whole organization, a campaign, or a single destination. A pause that lands before dispatch prevents the provider call, and resuming needs an owner or admin with a reason.
Can we publish to X, Threads, or Bluesky?
X uses a direct route that stays off until a separate terms review is complete. Threads publishes text, image, and video posts through the official Threads API. Bluesky publishing is not available.
Which networks can we publish to?
Publishing runs on Instagram Business and Creator accounts (images and carousels), Facebook Pages (text, links, images, multi-image, and video), YouTube (video and Shorts), and LinkedIn member profiles (text and video). X uses a direct route that stays off until a separate terms review is complete. LinkedIn company Pages, TikTok, and Pinterest are gated and not yet enabled. Threads publishes text, one image, or one video through the official Threads API. Bluesky and Google Business Profile publishing are not available.
