Solution

Nonprofits

Nonprofit social tells real people's stories, and those people have to agree to it. SignalDeck records each subject's consent with its scope and expiry, requires guardian consent for minors, blocks any not-yet-sent post the moment consent is withdrawn, and requires a reviewer other than the author for content that shows consented subjects. Impact figures are checked against linked sources before approval, and reports for boards and funders count only verified posts.

Built for nonprofits

Stories told with consent, figures backed by sources.

  • Beneficiary consent records

Record each subject's consent on the media it covers, with consent type, permitted channels and uses, grant date, expiry, and an evidence reference. Evidence references are write-only and never returned by the API.

  • Guardian consent for minors

Consent for a minor can't be recorded without guardian consent, and final preflight blocks any delivery showing a minor without it. Vulnerable adults can be flagged on the record.

  • Withdrawal stops delivery

Withdraw consent and any delivery using that media that hasn't been dispatched is blocked, because preflight re-reads consent inside the dispatch transaction. Consent that doesn't cover a channel blocks that channel only.

  • Independent review for consented subjects

Creators, reviewers, and publishers can never approve their own content. When media shows consented subjects, owners and admins can't approve their own posts either; another person must review.

  • Impact figures checked against sources

Factual claims in a frozen version are matched against linked source snapshots. An unsupported number blocks approval until it's linked to a source, confirmed as an owner statement, or removed.

  • Rights and consent changes limited to admins

Only owners and admins can record or revoke rights and consent, and each change is written to the audit log.

  • Reports for boards and funders

Share reports built from verified receipts, with unknown metrics left unknown. Give board members a client viewer role or a report share link. White-label reports and the client portal start on Scale.

A campaign week

From a program story to a published post.

  • Collect consent first

Upload the photos or video, then record consent for each person shown, with channels, uses, and expiry. Add guardian consent for any minor.

  • Draft the story

Write the post or ask the AI assistant for a draft. Link the program report or source that backs each figure.

  • Independent review

A colleague who didn't write the post reviews it. The review shows the exact version, destination, media, and schedule before anything is approved.

  • Schedule and report

Schedule inside the approval window. After publishing, the post's metrics appear in reports only once the network confirms it.

Safeguarding

Controls that run at the moment of sending.

  • Checked at dispatch, not just at approval

Consent, rights, media processing, and virus scanning are checked again in final preflight. An approval from last week can't override a withdrawal from today.

  • Exact media, exact order

The worker sends the full approved media list with its order and alt text. If any media would be dropped, the delivery fails or is held instead of becoming a text-only post.

  • Emergency pause

Pause a destination, a campaign, or the whole organization from the keyboard. Resuming needs an owner or admin and a reason.

Structure

Chapters, programs, and appeals.

Use one organization for the nonprofit and a workspace per chapter, program, or appeal. Each workspace has its own destinations, consent records, brand profile, and members, and workspace-assigned volunteers only see the workspaces they're added to.

Not integrated

What SignalDeck doesn't do for nonprofits.

There is no donor CRM, fundraising, or donation-platform integration, and SignalDeck doesn't collect consent forms itself; you record consent and reference your own evidence. It isn't a legal review of consent wording. Threads and Bluesky publishing are not available.

Nonprofit shapes

Teams telling stories that involve real people.

  • Program stories

Beneficiary stories with consent recorded per person and independent review before posting.

  • Youth programs

Guardian consent required for minors and checked again at the moment of sending.

  • Appeals and campaigns

Campaign dates, approval windows, and figures backed by linked sources.

  • Board and funder updates

Reports from verified posts, shared with viewer roles or share links.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What happens if someone withdraws consent after a post is scheduled?

Withdraw the consent record. Any delivery using that media that hasn't been dispatched is blocked at final preflight. Posts already published aren't edited or removed on the network by SignalDeck; remove them there.

Can we post photos of children?

Only with guardian consent recorded. Consent for a minor can't be saved without it, and any delivery showing a minor without guardian consent is blocked.

Who can approve a beneficiary story?

Someone other than the author. Non-admin roles can never approve their own content, and when media shows consented subjects, owners and admins can't either.

How are impact figures checked?

Factual claims are matched against the source snapshots linked to the version. Unsupported figures block approval until they're linked, confirmed as an owner statement, or removed.

Where is the consent evidence stored?

SignalDeck stores a reference to your evidence, not the form itself. The reference is write-only through the API and redacted from logs.

Can board members see reports without editing anything?

Yes. Give them a client viewer role on the workspace, or send a report share link.

Which networks can we publish to?

Publishing runs on Instagram Business and Creator accounts (images and carousels), Facebook Pages (text, links, images, multi-image, and video), YouTube (video and Shorts), and LinkedIn member profiles (text and video). X uses a direct route that stays off until a separate terms review is complete. LinkedIn company Pages, TikTok, and Pinterest are gated and not yet enabled. Threads publishes text, one image, or one video through the official Threads API. Bluesky and Google Business Profile publishing are not available.
